First Friday ArtWalk Opens Galleries to Public Visitation

arts, culture, first friday artwalk, lane arts council,

Here is a good exercise for your legs – and your eyes.

The Lane Arts Council sponsors a First Friday ArtWalk as a way for the public to explore Eugene’s many art galleries. On the first Friday of each month, different arts and artistic attractions are highlighted.

For example, the October 2007 ArtWalk featured a starting point at the Hult Center for the dedication of the Japanese American Memorial Garden and Sculpture. All walking tours are free and take place throughout downtown Eugene.

Galleries that often participate in the monthly event include D.I.V.A., Fenario, Imagine, Jacobs, La Follette, M.E.C.C.A., New Zone, Opus6ix and White Lotus.
